About the Institute

The Institute for Sustainability and Energy (ISE) is dedicated to helping the world stop losing the war against climate change.

Its main activities are research, analysis, and providing strategic and practical advice enabling countries, states, regions, cities, companies, and other organizations reduce their greenhouse gas emissions – most of which typically emanate from activities involving the production and/or use of energy in some form – as quickly and efficiently as possible.  Founded in response to the identification of significant opportunities for improvement in the climate plans of many large countries, including the EU as a whole and the US, ISE’s pioneering analytical methods enable it to quickly identify better combinations of solutions to use and the right times to use them.

If you are looking to reduce emissions further, faster, and at lower cost, we’d be happy to discuss how we can help.  It should be noted that our analysis often finds well-meaning green activities to be less green than they seem.  So we recommend our services to parties who wish to make a difference and not just to appear green.
